Subject: le pendulum - transformed to anharmonic
Question: here is a question that arouse out of debate. It might sound silly but i was not able to find a solution. If i take a simple pendulum and swing it slightly it will oscillate with sme time period. If i increase swing a little it will oscillate with larger amplitude but with the same time period. This will continue to happen till the amplitude becomes large. Now how much big amplitude is considered to be little. I mean what is the maximum amplitude beyond which the pendulum will become anharmonic oscillator.

    for Harmonic motion, motion must be repeatedly around mean position,
    now question is how long oscillation can be consider as harmonic . this depends on lenth of string as well angle, beacuse for longer string Amplitude may high but theta for pendulum is 0-3 degree while for same amplitude with short string theta will be more then 5 degree and its turn to anharmonic motion. beacause path is more curved at Amax point
